Implant Bridge
Replacing a Segment of Missing Teeth
This diagram depicts replacement of missing back teeth on a lower jaw. In this situation, a conventional bridge is not possible because supporting teeth are not available on both sides; placing a bridge on teeth and implants both is not allowed for biological reasons. The diagram to the right depicts restoration with a removable partial denture, which is the only possible way to replace these missing teeth without the use of implants. Further, removable partial dentures are usually not well tolerated in these particular situations. Replacement with an implant bridge gives a very comfortable and functional result similar to that of natural teeth.
